     Heart of Benevolence Corp., Dawson Community Empowerment Center and INSO Inc. are teaming up for the 2nd annual Rock the Books Festival 2018. There were no children turned away at Rock the Books 2017 due to generous contributions from community partners like you. We were able to distribute backpacks and school supplies to over 1,000 students including children within The Methodist Home for Children & Youth, DFACS, CASA. Our students range from many areas of NE FL and SE GA areas, Camden, Charleston, Nassau and Duval counties. In addition to the event, we worked with various schools in the area to continuously distribute backpacks and supplies to children in need and teachers throughout the 2017-2018 school year.

    The 2nd annual Rock the Books event will be held on Saturday, August 4, 2018 from 12pm-4pm! We would like to invite you to partner with us to enrich the lives of youth in our community for the 2018-2019 school year. Our goal for 2018 is to expand our efforts to not only include Camden County students, but NE Florida and Charleston county students as well. We also have goals to provide scholarships to some of our graduating seniors and supplies to more of our teachers.

     

     Rock the Books is an annual fun filled event where children can celebrate education and the upcoming school year. This event also promotes reading literacy and gets children excited and encouraged to read more. There will be games, entertainment, food trucks, and other exciting activities throughout the day. We will also distribute free backpacks and schools supplies to children in the community. Your tax-deductible donation is needed to make Rock the Books 2018 a success. Our goal is to continue not having to turn any children away and offer quality backpacks and school supplies to as many children as possible.

     We have attached some specific sponsorship levels but we are willing to negotiate sponsorship packages and accept all donations. We have also attached list of school supply needs along with donation needs in lieu of cash (promotional marketing items accepted for school supplies). Please consider how you would like to support the event. The enclosed information describes each level of support and the benefits to your business at each level. We also need volunteers to distribute school supplies, and much more! Your support is greatly appreciated and we look forward to working with you to help students in our community start the year off right!
